Profile Showcase
The top of the Account page shows your profile with your avatar, display name, email, plan badge, email verification status, when you became a member, and how many credit cards you're tracking. In the desktop sidebar or mobile menu, tap your profile row to open Account & Settings directly. Preferences, Notifications, Plan, Help, integrations, and Sign Out live from the Account page; My Cards remains in the main navigation.
When you open an Account detail page such as Preferences, Notifications, Plan, MCP Integration, Delete History, or Delete Account, use the full-width Account & Settings return row directly below the page header to go back. On touch devices, this return row stays above pull-to-refresh feedback.
Display Name
Your display name appears throughout the app and in greetings.
- Go to Account
- Find the Account card
- Click the Name row
- Enter your new name in the dialog and click Save
Email Management
Change Your Email
- Go to Account
- Tap Manage Email in the Account card
- If a password is linked, tap Change Email, enter the new email and your current password, and verify the new address through the confirmation link
- If no password is linked, the row shows the static hint Set a password from your Account page to change your email. Add a password first (see Sign In & Security below), then return to Manage Email and tap Change Email
Email verification: After changing your email, you'll need to verify the new address before it becomes active. Check your inbox for a verification link.
Linked Sign-In Emails
When Google or Apple is linked to your account, the Manage Email drawer also lists each provider's sign-in email under your Cardzen account email. This group is informational only.
If a provider sign-in email is different from your Cardzen account email (for example, after a Cardzen email change), the row stays neutral and the helper line below the group spells out where Cardzen system emails go: Cardzen sends verification, password reset, and account notices to your Cardzen account email at the top, never to a Google or Apple provider email.
Sign In & Security
You can use email and password, Google, and Apple together on the same account. Tap the Sign In & Security row in the Account card to:
- Add a password if you signed up with Google or Apple
- Reset your password if one is already linked
- Connect Google or Apple to the account you are signed into
- See which providers are currently linked
- Disconnect Google or Apple, as long as one sign-in method remains
Disconnecting Apple only removes Apple as a Cardzen sign-in method. It does not revoke Cardzen in Apple Account settings (called Apple ID settings on some devices); to revoke access at Apple too, manage Cardzen from Apple Account settings on your device.
If Apple is hard to reconnect after a disconnect, remove only Cardzen's Sign in with Apple authorization from Apple Account settings first, then return to Sign In & Security -> Connect and choose Share My Email when Apple asks. In Apple settings, this may appear as Delete, Stop Using, or similar confirmation wording. This does not delete your Apple Account, your Apple ID, your Cardzen account, or your Cardzen data. Do not use the Cardzen Delete Account flow for this. If Cardzen asks you to sign in again afterward, sign in with password, Google, or another method that is still linked to this account before reconnecting Apple.
Note: The reliable way to add Google or Apple to an existing Cardzen account is from Sign In & Security -> Connect while you are signed in. The provider email must match your Cardzen account email after Cardzen's email cleanup. The signed-out conflict path at Link a Sign-In Method still works, but Connect is the recommended path because it avoids accidentally creating a new Cardzen account when Firebase does not raise a conflict. See Sign In & Security for the full walkthrough.
Password Management
Both adding and resetting a password live on the Password row inside Sign In & Security.
- Go to Account
- Tap the Sign In & Security row to open the drawer or dialog
- On the Password row:
- If a password is linked, tap Reset Password and check your inbox for the reset link
- If no password is linked, tap Add a Password to open the dialog, enter a new password, and confirm. After that, the row's action flips to Reset Password for next time
