By accessing or using Cardzen ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. Your continued use of the Service after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Cardzen is an AI-powered credit card recommendation platform that helps users optimize their credit card usage. The Service provides personalized card recommendations, credit and benefit tracking, wallet management tools, and optional push notifications for expiring card credits and upcoming card renewals, available as a web app at cardzen.ai and as a native iOS app.
Cardzen is operated by Cardzen, LLC. Cardzen, LLC is not a financial institution, bank, credit card issuer, or licensed financial advisor. We do not issue credit cards, process payments outside the subscription fees described in Section 8, or have access to your financial accounts.
Notifications. Push notifications are available on the iOS app only and are entirely opt-in; you choose whether to enable them and which categories you receive. Delivery is best-effort and not guaranteed, because it depends on your device, your network, and Apple's push infrastructure, all of which are outside our control. Notifications are informational reminders only and do not constitute financial advice (see the AI-Generated Content Disclaimer in Section 4). The in-app dashboard remains the authoritative source for your credits and renewals; always confirm in the app before acting.
Cardzen is actively developed. Features are added, refined, and occasionally retired as the product evolves, and the user interface may change without advance notice. We aim for high availability, but the Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you may encounter incomplete features, occasional bugs, or short service interruptions. We appreciate your feedback and patience as we continue to improve the platform.
The recommendations provided by Cardzen are generated by artificial intelligence and are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute financial advice, investment advice, or any other form of professional advice.
To generate recommendations, your chat messages, card wallet data (including card names, annual fees, earning rates, and credit balances), credit and benefit tracking state, custom AI instructions, and display name are sent to third-party AI providers for processing. See our Privacy Policy for the full list of providers and what each one receives.
AI features require explicit in-app consent collected during onboarding before first use. The consent step names Google Gemini, OpenAI, Google Cloud Text to Speech, and LangSmith and must be completed before you can finish onboarding and reach AI features.
AI-generated recommendations may contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or errors. Credit card terms, rewards rates, and benefits change frequently and may not be reflected in real time. You should always verify information directly with your card issuer before making financial decisions.
Cardzen is not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on the information provided through the Service.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using Cardzen, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
To use the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

Cardzen offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. The Pro plan is available on two billing rails:
Expiring-credit reminders and the weekly roundup notification are Pro features. Card-renewal reminders are available to all users, including the Free plan.
Current Pro pricing for your platform is shown on the Plan page inside the app. Pricing may vary between the web and the iOS app. By starting a Pro subscription you agree to the price shown at checkout for that platform.
Automatic renewal. Pro subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your payment method will be charged the then-current subscription fee at the start of each new period. You can review the billing period and next charge date at any time on the Plan page.
Free trial. First-time paid subscribers may be offered a free trial on each rail (Stripe or Apple) independently. If a free trial is offered, your subscription will convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before the trial ends. Trial eligibility is determined per rail and is not shared between Stripe and Apple.
Cancellation. You can cancel a Pro subscription at any time:
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You keep Pro access until that date, then return to the Free plan automatically.
Refunds. Refund eligibility depends on the billing rail:
Promotional grants. Cardzen, LLC may from time to time provide complimentary or promotional Pro access via private invite links or other promotional programs. Promotional grants are non-transferable, may be time-limited, may be revoked at our discretion, and confer no right to a paid subscription. The terms of a specific promotion will be presented at the time the offer is accepted.
If you obtained Cardzen from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply, and these Terms constitute an agreement between you and Cardzen, LLC only, not between you and Apple, Inc.:
The Service, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is owned by Cardzen, LLC and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission.
You retain ownership of any data you provide to the Service, including your card selections, preferences, and chat inputs. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to use this data to provide and improve the Service, including processing through third-party AI services as described in our Privacy Policy. We will not sell your data or use it to train machine learning models independent of providing the Service to you.
If you submit feedback, suggestions, feature requests, or Help Center helpfulness feedback through the in-app feedback dialog, Help Center, or by contacting support, you grant Cardzen, LLC a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use that feedback to improve the Service. You are not entitled to compensation for feedback you submit.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The Service may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cardzen, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Without limiting the foregoing, Cardzen, LLC is not liable for any notification that is missed, delayed, or not delivered, or for any credit, benefit, or reward you lose, or any fee you incur, as a result. Push notifications are a best-effort convenience, and the in-app dashboard remains the authoritative source.
Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the total fees you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or ten dollars ($10), whichever is greater.
Informal resolution first. Before filing any legal action against Cardzen, LLC arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, you agree to first contact us at support@cardzen.ai and describe the dispute in reasonable detail. The parties will attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute through informal correspondence for at least sixty (60) days from the date you send that notice. Neither party may commence a legal action until that period ends. This informal step is intended to give us a chance to fix the issue without litigation.
Governing law and venue. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. If the informal resolution step does not resolve the dispute, any legal action arising from these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for conduct that we determine violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise inappropriate. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you via email before terminating your account. Where the violation is not severe (such as fraud or abuse), we will provide a 14-day notice period to cure the issue before termination. If we terminate your account, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
You may delete your account at any time through the account deletion page. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Account deletion cancels any active Stripe subscription on your behalf. For Apple-billed Pro, you must cancel the Apple subscription through Apple before deleting your account; Apple does not allow us to cancel an In-App Purchase on your behalf, and the iOS app's delete flow will require you to acknowledge this before proceeding.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by email and by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will take effect 30 days after notification. Your continued use of the Service after the 30-day notice period constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you may delete your account before they take effect.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cardzen, LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cardzen, LLC regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements between you and Cardzen, LLC on the subject.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
Force majeure. Cardzen, LLC is not liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, third-party service outages, and government actions.
