The AI gave wrong info about my card
Card data is updated regularly, but benefits can change. If you notice incorrect information:
- Verify the info with your card issuer's website
- Email us at support@cardzen.ai so we can update our database
- The fix will apply to all users with that card
My credits aren't showing correctly
Try these steps:
- Refresh the page - Sometimes data needs to reload
- Check anniversary date - For anniversary-based credits, ensure your card's start date is set correctly
- Verify the credit exists - Check your card issuer's website to confirm the credit is still offered
I can't find a specific card
If your card isn't appearing in search:
- Try the full official card name (e.g., "Chase Sapphire Preferred" not "CSP")
- Try searching by the bank name
- Check for alternative spellings
- If still not found, email us at support@cardzen.ai to add it
The app is slow or not loading
- Refresh the page - Press Ctrl+R (Cmd+R on Mac)
- Clear browser cache - Clear cookies and cached data
- Try a different browser - Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge
- Check your internet connection
- Disable browser extensions - Some may interfere
My credit status reset unexpectedly
Credits automatically reset based on their frequency. This is normal behavior:
- Monthly credits reset on the 1st of each month
- Quarterly credits reset Jan 1, Apr 1, Jul 1, Oct 1
- Annual credits reset on Jan 1 or your anniversary
If a reset seems incorrect, check the credit's earning frequency in your card details.
I tried to sign in with Google but it took me to a different page
This can happen when Cardzen finds an existing account for the same email address that uses another sign-in method.
Follow the page steps to sign in with the method you already used. After that, Cardzen adds Google to the same account. See the Link a Sign-In Method article for the full walkthrough.
If you are already signed into the Cardzen account you want to keep, the simpler path is Account -> Sign In & Security -> Connect on the Google or Apple row. Connect attaches the provider directly to the account you are signed into.
Connect Google or Apple says the email does not match
Connect requires the Google or Apple account email to match your Cardzen account email after Cardzen cleans both values. If you tap Connect and pick a provider account at a different email, Cardzen rejects the connect, rolls it back, and the row goes back to its previous state.
Pick the provider account that matches your Cardzen email and try Connect again. Cardzen does not treat Gmail dot or plus aliases as the same email for this check.
For Apple specifically, choose Share My Email when Apple asks. Hide My Email returns a private relay address that will not match your Cardzen email and the connect will be rejected.
If Apple does not offer the email choice again, or reconnecting Apple keeps returning the wrong relay email after you disconnected it, remove only Cardzen's Sign in with Apple authorization from Apple Account settings and try again from Account -> Sign In & Security -> Connect. On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings -> [your name] -> Sign in with Apple -> Cardzen, then tap Delete or Stop Using and follow Apple's confirmation steps. This Apple setting does not delete your Apple Account, your Apple ID, your Cardzen account, or your Cardzen data. Do not use the Cardzen Delete Account flow for this. If Cardzen asks you to sign in again afterward, sign in with password, Google, or another method that is still linked to this account, then reconnect Apple and choose Share My Email.
This sign-in is already connected to another Cardzen account
This message means the Google or Apple credential you picked is already linked to a different Firebase user. Cardzen does not merge accounts automatically.
Options:
- Sign in with that other Cardzen account, or
- Pick a different Google or Apple account when you tap Connect, or
- Email support@cardzen.ai and we can review the accounts
Connect says I need to sign in again
Some Firebase operations require a recent sign-in. If Connect returns a "sign out and sign back in" message, that is the cause. Sign out, sign back into the Cardzen account you want to keep, and try Connect again from Sign In & Security.
I opened a promo invite, signed in, and Cardzen says it created a new account
This happens when you tap Already have an account? Sign in on the invite page but then sign in with a Google or Apple account that was not yet linked to your previous Cardzen account. Firebase treats that as a new sign-in and Cardzen creates a new account on the new UID.
Cardzen does not auto-redeem the invite in this case. You see a recovery dialog with two choices:
- Sign in with a different method. Cardzen signs you out and keeps the invite token. Sign in with the method that was attached to your old account (password, or whichever provider you used originally) and the invite redemption resumes on that account.
- Claim invite on this account. Cardzen redeems the invite on the new account you just created. Use this if you are happy with the new account.
If you want both accounts to share a sign-in method, sign into the older one and connect the missing provider from Account -> Sign In & Security -> Connect before trying the invite again.
I changed my email but my Google sign-in still uses the old one
This is expected. Changing your Cardzen account email does not change the email attached to your Google or Apple account.
Cardzen still recognizes you when you sign in with the linked provider, even if the provider email is different from your new Cardzen email. Cardzen system emails (verification, password reset, account notices) always go to your Cardzen account email at the top of the Manage Email drawer, never to a Google or Apple provider email.
If you no longer want a provider attached, disconnect it from Sign In & Security in Account. See the Sign In & Security article for details.
I'm not receiving email notifications
Email notifications for credit expiration reminders are not currently available. Use the Daily Zen to stay on top of your credits.
If you're having trouble receiving account-related emails (like password resets or email verification):
- Check your spam/junk folder
- Add our email to your contacts
- Verify your email address in Account settings
The page looks broken or styled incorrectly
- Hard refresh - Ctrl+Shift+R (Cmd+Shift+R on Mac)
- Clear cache - Clear your browser's cached files
- Try incognito/private mode - Rules out extension issues
- Update your browser - Ensure you're on the latest version
I accidentally deleted something
Recovery depends on what was removed:
- Card added by mistake: Permanent removal cannot be undone or recover the deleted Cardzen history. You can add the card again from My Cards, but it starts clean with no prior usage or streak history.
- Timeline period: Saved credit entries are not deleted. Add or correct the period under Manage Card > Card timeline so the right dates become eligible again.
- Closed card: Do not add a duplicate. Open it under Past cards and add a new ownership period from Card timeline.
- Chat history cannot be recovered once deleted
Natural Voice options aren't showing up in Preferences
The Voice Type and Voice pickers are Pro-only. Free users use Standard Voice. Natural Voice (Aria, Nova, Atlas, Sage) is available with Cardzen Pro. Voice preferences configure on web for any device; the mic button and spoken responses live in the iOS app, available on the App Store.
I'm seeing an error message
If you encounter an error:
- Note the error message (screenshot if possible)
- Try refreshing the page
- If it persists, try logging out and back in
- Clear your browser cache and try again
