Credit History

View your complete credit usage history organized by card and period

Pro feature. Real credit history is included with Cardzen Pro. Free users can browse the Year page across every year, and structural data (which credits exist on which cards, expiration timing, and totals) renders normally, but every used value reads as $0 / total possible (0%) and the "Full Report" button is replaced with a Cardzen Pro pill.

Date Range

Your credit history is scoped to the union of periods in each card's Card timeline. A new card begins with one current period whose opened date defaults to the first of the month when you add it. You can correct dates, record a closure, or add a later ownership period from My Cards under Manage Card > Card timeline.

Only credit occurrences that overlap a period when you held the card qualify for historical reporting. Gaps between periods and dates after the latest closure are excluded. Saved captured value inside an eligible period remains attributable to the Past card; Cardzen does not invent missed or expired value for the part of an interrupted period after closure.

An explicitly closed card can appear in annual/history reporting for eligible dates. A card permanently removed as Added by mistake does not become a Past card: its saved credit history is deleted and its contribution is removed from prior Cardzen reports. Adding the same card later starts a new, clean history.

Understanding Time Periods

Monthly Credits

Shows 12 columns, one for each month. Labeled as "Jan", "Feb", "Mar", etc.

Quarterly Credits

Shows 4 columns: Q1 (Jan-Mar), Q2 (Apr-Jun), Q3 (Jul-Sep), Q4 (Oct-Dec).

Semi-Annual Credits

Shows 2 columns: H1 (Jan-Jun), H2 (Jul-Dec).

Annual Credits (Calendar)

Shows 1 column for the entire year.

Anniversary-Based Credits

Credits that reset on your card anniversary show date ranges instead of calendar periods. For example: "Mar 14, 2024 - Mar 13, 2025"

These credits span across calendar years, so they may appear differently than calendar-based credits.

Expanding Cards

Click the accordion arrow next to a card name to expand or collapse its credits. This helps you focus on specific cards without scrolling through everything.

Full Report

The Full Report button (with the bar chart icon, labeled with the year when one is selected, e.g. "2026 Report") opens a detailed summary of your credit usage for the selected year. The report includes:

  • Utilization chart - A circular chart showing the year's overall utilization percentage, with total value, used, and remaining amounts
  • By Period - Rows for each period type (Monthly, Quarterly, Semiannual, Annual) showing a usage bar and dollar values. Periods with no data are hidden.
  • Period Detail sections - Expanded breakdowns for each period type that has data:
    • Monthly Detail: 12 rows (Jan through Dec) with individual usage bars
    • Quarterly Detail: 4 rows (Q1 through Q4)
    • Semiannual Detail: 2 rows (H1 and H2)
    • Annual Detail: 1 row for the full year
    • Each section shows a summary pill with the aggregate used/total and utilization percentage. Periods with no data appear muted.

Filtering Options

  • By Year: Use the year selector to view different years, beginning with the earliest opened year in your cards' timelines
  • By Card: Expand individual card sections to see that card's credits and usage breakdown

Tip: Review your credit history quarterly to spot patterns. If you consistently miss the same credit, consider whether it's worth tracking or if you should adjust your habits to use it.
