Manage your credit card portfolio: add cards, customize settings, and view details

Adding Cards

Adding and managing cards manually is available on the Free plan. Chat-based card changes, like asking the AI to add or freeze a card for you, require Cardzen Pro.

  1. Open My Cards from the sidebar navigation
  2. Select Add Card
  3. Search by card name or issuer, or browse the issuer list
  4. Select the correct card. Cards are added one at a time, and their benefits load automatically
  5. If Personalize your card appears, add the requested reward choice, rewards status, or card open date and select Save

The card is already in your wallet before personalization begins. Selecting Skip for now or dismissing the setup keeps the card and discards only the unsaved setup details. You can add them later from the card's Multipliers tab or Manage Card > Card timeline.

Common Questions

  • Card not found? Email us at support@cardzen.ai and we'll add it to our database.
  • Wrong benefits showing? Email us at support@cardzen.ai so we can fix it.
  • Have the same card twice? Only add it once. The benefits are the same.
  • No personalization step? Most cards do not need additional setup, so Cardzen returns you to the previous screen after the card is added.

Card Settings

Preferred Cards

Mark a card as your go-to for specific categories.

  • When to use: You always want to use a specific card for dining, travel, etc.
  • How: Card details → Manage Card → Set Preferred

Freezing Cards

Temporarily exclude a card from AI recommendations.

  • When to use:
    • Card is in a drawer, not being used
    • Considering whether to cancel
    • Taking a break from a card
  • How: Card details → Manage Card → Freeze Card

The card stays in your portfolio but won't appear in recommendations.

Card Timeline and Anniversary Date

The Card timeline records every period when you held the card. The opened date of a current period determines anniversary timing and how far back Cardzen treats the card as held.

  • Why it matters:
    • Some credits reset on your anniversary, not January 1
    • Annual fee posts on this date
    • Controls how far back your history goes
  • How: Card details → Manage Card → Card timeline

If you close the issuer account, use Manage Card > Close or remove card > Account was closed. The card moves to Past cards with its details and eligible history intact. If the card was only added to Cardzen by mistake, choose Added by mistake instead; that permanently removes it without creating a Past card and deletes its saved Cardzen credit and streak history.

Viewing Card Details

Each card has four tabs, shown in a tab bar at the bottom of the card details panel:

TabWhat's Inside
OverviewCard showcase, description, and stats (rewards currency, annual fee, FX fee, and the current opened date or latest closed date). Overview is the default tab.
MultipliersEarning rates by category (3x dining, 2x travel, etc.)
CreditsMonthly or annual benefits ($10 dining credit, etc.)
PerksOther benefits (lounge access, insurance, etc.)

The Overview tab is represented by its home icon (no text label) at every screen size, while Multipliers, Credits, and Perks always show their full labels.

Past cards use the same four-tab detail view. Current recommendations and active-wallet actions are off, but you can review card benefits, edit preserved tracking preferences, and manage the Card timeline.
